This is no small feat, and only happened because of the hard work you put in. Congratulations Arcana, well done!

As a guild we have also started raiding again, downing the bosses of TOT4W and getting into weekly Firelands Rep Runs. Keep your eyes on the event calendar for upcoming events such as BWD and a soon to be formed Firelands progression group.

A big Arcana welcome goes out to some of our newer members, such as Centour and Big D. A big welcome to Kaellee as well. We are very excited to have you in Arcana, and look forward to raiding and having fun with you all.

Congratulations to everyone who has a main or alt who has reached Level 85, a fine accomplishment.

Welcome to Holy and Rabb, our newest advisors. Now where did we put all that armor we need shined..you two better get to polishing!! All jokes aside, we are confident that you both are a fine addition to the advisor team, and look forward to working with you to pull a new vision of Arcana together.

Arcana is a great guild to be in, and I am very proud to be a part of a group working so hard, and coming together to get things done.

As always, your humble advisor,
Adania

Adania Thu, 03 Nov 2011 19:44:16 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/505192 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/505192 Happy Anniversary Arcanapocolypse
Posted 03/21/11 12:21 PM by Adania.

March 20th 2011 marked the start of Arcanas 4th year as a guild. This is no small feat when you consider how many guilds fold after mere months. Our longevity is due to nothing less then the stellar members we have among us, and for that, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for making Arcana such a fun and awesome guild to be in. We wouldnt be half of what we are were it not for our guild members being postive, helpful, and lively people to be around.

In celebration of our anniversary we as a guild acheived 'Outland Dungeonmaster' and also reached level 13 as a guild. Thank you to everyone who contributed to get us even more guild perks.

We will be throwing a proper celebration the first weekend of April, dates being April 2nd and April 3rd. Hope you all can join us as we have a little trivia fun, fish up some cata beasties, battle each other in a little pvp fun, and complete both Classic and Northrend Dungeonmaster for the guild. A surprise raid will also be announced shortly, to take place on Saturday April 2nd.

Heres to many more years of fun for all of us. All the best Arcanapocolypse,You rock!!

Your humble Advisor,
Adania

Adania Mon, 21 Mar 2011 19:21:11 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/478005 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/478005 New Year, Same Great Arcana!
Posted 01/28/11 11:13 PM by Adania.

Hello guildies, hope you all are enjoying this lovely winter weather, and staying warm while you grind out levels and help get Arcanapocolypse to guild level of 10! Keep up the good work folks, we are rocking it for sure.

Just some reminders for those of us who are new and old:

The guild lotto is back. This is put on bi-weekly by Adania. Information can be found in the commons section of the forums, at the very top, or feel free to ingame msg me with any questions you may have.

We would very much like to get back to having guild members nominate other guild members for Guild Member of The Month. So if you see someone going above and beyond, being a joy in general to be around, and being a great member of our team, then please ingame msg, or private msg on the forums, any of the advisors and let them know about it. At the end of the month at our advisors meetings we will discuss the nominees and announce our selection. The honoree receives 100g!

Speaking of advisors, Arcana is very happy to announce the promotions of Diddy and Ubi to our advisors board. With Diddy's vast knowledge of wow, and pvp, and Ubi's contributions as raid assistant, combined with both of their fun, encouraging attitudes, they are sure to be a great addition to the group. Welcome gentlemen!

For anyone who is unsure, Arcanas Queen is Kaline, our King is Celare, and the advisors are made up of Adania, Amyran, Diddydeath, Enjela, Gerkers, Isavelyn, and Ubiquiity.

We will be doing some shuffling of responsibilities within the advisors board, and will be sure to keep you all posted so that you know who to go to with any specific questions or requests you may have. Although, as always, any advisor is always happy and able to help you the best they can at any time.

Adania will be working with Enjela to keep the website up to date. So if you see anyone getting any acheivements, reaching lvl 85, or acquiring any cool pets, mounts whatever and you think it needs some recognition please in game msg me, or msg me on here and I will be sure to get it up asap. I will still be doing the lottery as part of our social games but due to real life aggro, I will be focusing more on the website then social events. But never fear, as our gnome queen has plenty of fun surprises hidden up her sleeve!

Events! The last few weeks Ubi has been organizing and running the 'old school' weekly raid, the one you pick up in Dalaran. If you are interested in going please be sure to sign up on the website. Its easy justice points, and possibly even a guild acheivement if we havent done that particular raid before! Also, Isa is recruiting harty guild members to join her in the quest to take down the Lich King! Be sure to keep your eyes on the event page to watch for raid times.

**Just a reminder, that as it was before, the website is the official place to sign up for any Arcana events. In game calendar reminders will be posted, but signing up on the calendar does not guarantee a spot. If you want to go, but are unsure how to sign up, please ask how to before the date of the raid, so you dont risk losing your spot.**

Vent is back!

Ventrilo
216.6.224.88
port:10383
pw speex

Thats all for now folks. Thank you for taking the time to catch up on some information, and if I can be of any further help, please dont hestitate to ask.

Adania

Adania Sat, 29 Jan 2011 06:13:42 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/468278 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/468278 News, news, and more news.
Posted 10/06/10 08:26 AM by Kaline.

News, news, and more news.
The summer months have been busy ones for most of us. We have had people moving from country to country to country, we have had folks working on large projects, folks constantly going out of town for work, vacations and people getting out of the house before winter…. Etc.. etc.. We had some summer nights with 15 or more members on and we had some with 5 or less on. Now summer has passed and we are on our way into fall (some kicking and screaming).

Even though people were scattered much of the summer we have had many members get great achieves and make great advances in the game.
There are several who have worked many long long hours to achieve the Loremaster title, which in my mind is one of the most prestigious titles and achievements in game. Congratulations to those who now hold the title “Loremaster”.
With the expectation of the new expansion in the near future we have had several guildies grinding tirelessly to gain exalted status with many different factions. I know several have reached 25 exalted reps and I believe Ktuluu is our grinding master with over 30 or more exalted factions. We also added many new pirates to the fold with Isa, Kayoni, Ada, Amyran, Kaline, and Moehunter earning the Bloodsail Admiral title, much to the chagrin of the good people of booty bay.
The race for epic pets and mounts still continues. I believe we have had several members get the achieve for having 100 different companion pets.
No one has gotten there yet (I don’t think) but we also have many creeping up on what may be an achievement that would rival loremaster and that’s the “mammoth of mounts” achieve in which 100 different mounts are gathered. This has been helped a bit by people getting some great random drops from dungeons and holiday events as well as completing the “what a strange trip it’s been” achievement that takes a full year to complete and the “glory of the Hero” achieve which involves several individual achieves in heroic dungeons. I think it’s great that we have so many members that can enjoy so many different activities in WOW.

Arcana have added many new names to the guild roster over the last few months. I think it’s a wonderful testament to the kind of character our members possess. We continue to get new members to join after they have only done one or two raids with our guild members. I think it’s obvious to those who have come that we have a lot of fun and do our best to check drama at the door and just enjoy playing the game together.
Besides many of the new members coming in, we have had lots of our members forge real life friendships together. There have been several real meet ups at different bars, peoples real homes, and even a combined trip to Disney land. I think this says a lot for our guild that not only are we friends in our WOW lives but in our real lives as well. I think this kind of aura of friendliness is what keeps bringing people to guild and also keeps people in contact if they choose to move on to another.

We just found out that the release date for the much anticipated Cataclysm expansion will be Dec. 7. This will change much of the game as we know it. I think it’s coming at a good time because I feel many have gotten bored with the content that exists now (I mean how many times can you run the same random before you can do it in your sleep). I won’t go into all the different changes that are coming because there are so many drastic differences coming down the pipeline. What I will comment on is how blizz seems to finally realize the importance of a good guild. Cata brings with it a new guild member leveling system and rankings. Guild members will be able to achieve rep within their guild much as they would with different factions. There will also be achievements that a guild can get together. These different achievements will open up new recipes and heirloom gear for purchase. There will also now be penalties for guild hopping. If a member leaves and joins another guild they have to start their in-guild rep all over again and will lose the rep they did have with the guild they left.
Dungeons apparently are going to be a lot harder on heroic and you won’t be able to “blow through them” as we do now. For all the tanks out there it looks like it’s going to be like old school tanking again. Marking kills, making and order, pulling single mobs and not whole rooms. Dps will need to use interrupts and Crowd control and healers will need to conserve mana like never before.
This just barely is the tip of the ice berg here. I would encourage everyone to read up on the changes and new things as much as possible. I think it’s going to be more important than ever to rely on a good guild to help through the new content. I think Arcana is one of the top guilds on the server when it comes to a family like environment and I think that will help us out tremendously when the expansion does hit. I will be opening up a new thread on our boards so we might collectively discuss and share the excitement about the upcoming changes.

That pretty much does it for the new up to this point. I’ve already written more than I anticipated and I do apologize for going so long without doing a new news update. Couple parting thoughts… Guild raids: As winter comes upon us people will be spending more time indoors and more time in game so signing up on the website will be important if you want to finish those weekly’s and get in some more ICC before the expansion. I’d love to do a mainly all guild 25 man one day and I think we have the people to do it. Adania is our social planner, so if you have any ideas about guild events please let her know and as always.. enjoy your WOW.

Your Humble King,
Celare

Kaline Wed, 06 Oct 2010 15:26:08 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/441537 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/441537 News for May-June 2010
Posted 06/11/10 03:07 PM by Kaline.

News for May-June
Another couple of months have passed and as the time goes by Arcana remains a great guild we call home. The past couple of months has seen many achievements, new members, new 80s and more progression through ICC.

Members of Arcana have been blasting through achievements.
We’ve had a couple members finish the year long world feat quest “What a strange trip it’s been” This achievement requires the player to successfully complete all of the world event quests such as the Lunar festival, Children’s week, and Noblegarden. The prize for completing the year long events is a purple proto drake at 310% speed. It’s a wonderful mount for an achievement that takes a lot of dedication to work through. Congrats to those who have accomplished this feat. Also, thanks mainly to the weekly raid quests, several guildies picked up their “champion of the frozen wastes” titles” as well as “of the Nightfall” “LoreMaster” and Twilight Vanquisher. Congrats to those who have attached these titles above their names.

Like most guilds in the lands Arcanapocolypse has seen some new members arrive and have had some members depart for other adventures. We would like to welcome those new to Arcana and would like to give our best wishes to those who have departed in the last couple months. We hope to continue to grow, not only as a guild but as a group of friends that come to WOW to get together and take a break from the stress of the “real world”.

On a more personal note, some of our members have had the great pleasure to meet each other in the “real world” at various get-togethers’ A group of 5-7 members met at a local watering hole, 2-3 got to meet Kayoni on her way back through town, and Kaline and Amyran were able to meet up with NBK for some fun during a conference. These kinds of events are one reason that I think Arcana is different than most guilds. Not only do we play a game with each other, most of our members take time out of their real lives to meet other and honestly show a concern for each other.

The Alt fever has infected Arcanapocolypse!!!
We have had a couple players get some alts to level 80 and many more are on the way. This will go a long way to help us get back into some of the lower level content to help the new 80s out. Congrats to all those who have put the time in to bring multiple characters to 80.

Marching forward through Ice Crown Citadel.
As our members continue to get better gear we have seen more and more members make their way through ICC. Many members have found some good PUGs to run both 10 man and 25 man ICC instances with. More and more bosses have seen their doom at the hands of our members. As a guild we recently cleared the entire first wing in ICC 10 in less than 2 hours with zero wipes. Arcana is not a serious raiding guild but it goes to show that given a little time we can advance through any instance as a guild when time permits us to be together. I look forward to the day when I can congratulate one of our own when they receive the title of “The Kingslayer”.

New Advisors named for Arcana.
Just last week we named two players as new advisors to our queen Kaline and the guild. Two openings were posted to the guild about a month ago and volunteers were evaluated and accepted. The advisor roles were filled by Isavelyn and Adania. Isavelyn has accepted the role of Raid Leader and is already full steam ahead on planning and organizing fun and challenging raids for the guild to participate in. Isa has a natural ability to organize successful raids and we all look forward to what she has planned for us. Adania accepted the role of Guild Social Convener. She is very excited about the opportunity that she has been given and I’m sure has many wonderful and fun things for the guild to be involved in. She is currently making plans and taking suggestions for social events that will start in the fall. If you have any raid suggestions or social activity suggestions please feel free to contact these two fine ladies and let them know what you had in mind.

Thank you Kayoni and NBK.

Recently Kayoni and NBK stepped down as guild advisors. I would like to send my personal thanks out to them both for the hard work, time, and effort they put in for the betterment of the guild. Kayoni has done most of the work on our website that we all love. She constantly gave solid advice on guild matters as well as kept up one of the nicest guild websites in the lands. Thank you Kayoni.
NBK was our guild social coordinator and a dedicated advisor. NBK spent countless hours planning guild events and raids for us to complete as a guild. His events went a long way in establishing many of the personal bonds we have with each other as we play WOW. His unlimited knowledge and sound advice went along way making Arcana the great guild it is. Thank you NBK.

It’s Summer time!
I want to wrap up the news for May-June with some final thoughts. As the windows go up and an in some cases the A/C gets turned on. We can look outside and see flowers blooming, green leaves forming on the trees, kids on bikes, lawn mowers buzzing, and BBQ grills getting fired up. We are all starting to shake off the winter cold and are trading our heavy coats and hats in for light jackets and shorts. This means that playing WOW often takes a backseat to getting outside and enjoying our world while we can. I’m sure that players will start noticing that people aren’t playing as much as normal. This is expected and encouraged. Summer time is a time to get together with friends and families, taking vacations, and for spending late evenings eating ice cream outside on the patio with a warm breeze blowing. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe summer. If you can’t be around as much as normal we all understand and wish everyone a joyous time out and about.

PS. If anyone has something they feel should be put in the news section of the forums please let myself or Kaline know and we’ll make sure that it gets put in the next available month.

Your Humble King,
Celare

Kaline Fri, 11 Jun 2010 22:07:02 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/413730 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/413730 News for March and April 2010
Posted 04/19/10 05:02 AM by Kaline.

News for March and April 2010

Your king has been traveling the lands and has not had much time to sit and contemplate his thoughts in regards to the news. For this I apologize and will try to post my thoughts soon.

Much has happened for Arcanapocolypse in the last couple months. It has been a fun and very active time for this wonderful guild. We celebrated our two year anniversary as a guild, added more members to our rolls, had more alts work their way up, grabbed many new achievements and made our way through the first 3 bosses in ICC 10.

Let me start with the grand celebration that was Arcanapocolypse’s 2nd anniversary. It was a great full week celebration. We had fishing contests, completed some classic raids and OL dungeons, set off tons of fireworks and was noticed by the entire realm. I personally would like to thank NBK for putting together such a grand week. I know that it took lots of time, thought, and gold (out of his own pocket). I also would like to thank all those who participated in the events. We had several show up for the fishing contest, trivia games, and classic raids and lit up several different towns with an amazing display of fireworks and magic. At the end of the week, NBK held a drawing to give away the keys to a chopper. Adania was the lucky guildie who drove off into the Dalaran sunset on her new bike.

Arcana advances into ICC.
Over the last weekend here, arcane has progressed quite nicely through the halls of ICC. Lord Marrowgar, the first boss went down on the first try. The guild quickly cleared trash and reloaded for Lady Deathwhisper. After 2-3 tries she too fell at the feet of the heros of Arcanapocolypse. Even though it was getting late, the guild worked it’s way to the Skybreaker gunship and got familiar with the workings of the fight. After a good nights sleep, Arcana gave it another try and beat down the hordes ship. Not wanting to stop there the guild took an afternoon break and went on to face Deathbringer Saurfang. This powerful Orc posed some problems for the guild but like the others before him, with some practice, he too will meet his demise. I’d like to thank those who participate in the raids. I know we don’t always have the right number of classes for the fight or can’t always have the same people in the raids but I think we do a good job working with what we have and keep at it until we succeed. I know some of you all still aren’t using the raid sign up on the site much, but as we keep progressing through ICC I think that will start filling up even faster so if you think you can make it of even if you’d like to but aren’t sure, just throw a note up on the sign up sheet so we all know. Also if a raid time never seems to work for the hours you play , please post on the website or talk to Gekers, Kaline, or myself and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
I think we’ll get deeper and deeper into ICC and I can’t wait for the day when the Lich King himself meets his doom.

It was a busy but fun two months for our guild. As always, I look forward to playing more WOW and more importantly I always look forward spending time with each other as a guild. That is all I have for now. If you have something you’d like to have posted in the news please just send me an in game mail or a PM on the forums.

Your Humble King,
Celare

Kaline Mon, 19 Apr 2010 12:02:53 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/396545 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/396545 Arcanapocolypse 2nd Anniversary Celebrations Start March 20th!
Posted 03/12/10 03:43 AM by Kayoni.

Kayoni Fri, 12 Mar 2010 10:43:22 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/383208 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/383208 The fall of Ignis, Alts getting to 80, and more. Little did he know he had just tempered his last piece. Armed with powerful melee, extraordinary healing abilities, and vicious ranged attacks the 10 person group picked a fight with the monster that is Ignis.

So the fight began. The Tank warrior kept him occupied while a well-armored Paly lured Ignis’s fiends into his own fire only be destroyed quickly by the devastating ranged arcane attacks. Ignis constantly scooped up members of the group and threw them into the soldering pot that hangs from his belt. Thinking those that were cast into the pot was not coming out, Ignis continued to rain down fire upon the small group of adventurer’s. Imagine the surprise when Ignis looked down in his pot and noticed those he had thrown inside where no longer there and those that he kept throwing in, continued to have their life force given back to them quicker then he could take it.

Bit by bit the onslaught on Ignis continued. No matter how hard Ignus hit the puny warrior in front of him or how many fiends he summoned to life, the life of the hero’s continued to replenish and Ignis’s own life slowly dwindled away.
Finally the last bit of life was replenished, and the final spells were cast. The last slash of a dagger and sword, and the blows of a mace hit their deadly marks, the giant of fire and metal stooped to one knee, then another, and soon after dropped lifeless to the floor. Ignus had met his match. Always be aware that The World of Warcraft is a game, and other players are here to have fun, just like you are.

2. If you have a problem with a guild member and you can’t deal with it cordially yourself, talk to the guild leader. The guild leader will speak to other members on your behalf. Please remember, we will likely kick anyone who is seen to be causing repeated unwarranted drama.

3. Please restrict the use of colorful language in guild chat. Swearing does not impress anyone, and is not considered mature behaviour. Please to not swear over voice-chat, some members may have children present. We recognize that sometimes this happens by accident, but we will call out those members who are seen as having trouble controling their language.

4. Members will get one warning before they are disciplined. Discipline will come in the form of demotion, or being kicked from the guild. Officers will discuss discipline before it is given. Officers will not discuss discipline until at least half of the officers are present during the discussion. The guild leaders are the only members who can kick a player from the guild without discussion. Guild leaders will consider officer decisions and discussions, or lack thereof, at all times.

5. Unless other arrangements are made, inactive members will be demoted to "inactive" after 90 days, and be kicked from the guild after one year. If ranked inactive for six months, members wishing to move out of the inactive rank will only receive a promotion to the lowest regular guild rank. This formula is subject to future changes.

Next meeting is on Nov 27th. Minutes will be posted in December.

Amyran Sat, 28 Nov 2009 00:17:35 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/342426 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/342426 News for November!
Posted 11/26/09 01:23 AM by Amyran.

It's already nearly December!

This has been an exciting month for Arcanapocolypse. I've learned that our guild name is spelled wrong! It should be Arcanapocalypse. Who knew? Not me... We held an emergency officer's meeting to discuss all our options, but decided in the end that it's all good just to leave the name alone. Emergency meetings, being the very serious events they are, always end in firm decisions and forward thinking resolutions. Hurray for us!

Gratz to all the achievement runners in our guild who completed the Pilgrim's Bounty meta achievement, and are proud owners of a new title, and vanity pet!

There have been some exciting changes to the guild website! We're also looking at the possibility of redesigning the website entirely, so stay tuned for that! New this month, is a Blog, where one day, you will find many interesting articles and musings. The Royal corner is where our leaders will add their thoughts about our time spent online. Last month, I failed to mention that NBK started up a facebook group for us. It's sort of neat to see a different side of each other's lives.

We're still looking to add more geared level 80's to the guild, but we're at the point where we don't have to PUG 10 man raids anymore. This is a very exciting place for Arcanapocolypse. We have a few players graduating to level 80 very soon who will be welcome additions to the Heroic's, and hopefully soon, the raiding teams. If we all drink our milk, we'll all grow up strong!

November also saw us revisit two classic raids, Aq20 and Molton Core.
Achievements to be had for all! These original raids don't take very long, and the few of us who missed out, as well as guildies with alts at the appropriate level, should make a point of adding these raids to the calender, because they're a ton of fun!

We're trying to focus on gearing up our offtanks during the month of December.
Celare, who has been shouldering most of the main tank duties for us, won't be around for much of January. So lend a hand if you can, to our plate wearing brethren!

Congratulations to Sicario (Ker) for reaching level 80!

Amyran Thu, 26 Nov 2009 08:23:32 -0000 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/341905 http://www.arcanapocolypse.com/news/show/341905
