Kaline has renewed the guild website and it is back up to full capacity. I encourage everyone to continue communicating through the site.

It's very exciting to see that we now have 10 level 70's in the guild. There are a few level 60's working their way up there. Soon we should start planning weekend runs for raids.

It's confirmed!! Patch 3.0 goes live Tuesday October 14th, 2008. Be prepared, servers will be shut down earlier than normal at 2:00AM Server Time and will be offline for approximately 12 very painful hours!!

There are so many new changes please read up on your class notes as well as the general sections. Here are a few highlights:

1. NEW!! Inscription A brand new profession to make tons of gold off of. But be warned, expect Auction House prices for basic items to jump!

2. Achievement Points The new achievement point system is a new and exciting way of collecting new items including an Albino Drake, new titles and new rewards. Most achievement will be retro-active, meaning that a lot of what you've already done will be credited.

3. Arena Points Are GONE!! Expect arena points to be cleared and wiped, not sure if PvP points will be counted in this as well.

4. Mounts/Pets/Badges/PvP Tokens No longer take up bag or bank slots!!! Your mounts will become learnable like a new spell. You'll need to right click on the mount icon and it will be added to your Character inventory tab (Hot key "C") this is also the case for pets, both combat and vanity. Your PvP tokens, badges will go into a new tab called currency.

5. Shave and a Haircut!! You can now alter your toon's appearance at one of the new barber shops located in all major cities(except Shatt and DN)!! Don't like your hair style? Or don't even have any hair at all???? LOL Change it! The barber shop in Stormwind is located on the walkway behind the Auction House towards the center exit, just to the right.

6. Stormwind Harbor Get ready for a new and amazing new area of Stormwind!! The harbor is where you can catch a boat to Northrend, Kalimador or Darnassus. It's huge and very beautiful!

Tons more is on its way, all preparing you for Wrath Of The Lich King launch November 13th, 2008!!

Please note: Death Knights and access to Northrend is not accessible unless you install and own the new expansion. But there will be lots to keep you busy until then!!

I hope you are all as excited as I am, spending time on the Public Test Realms was an amazing experience and now I'm so excited to be able to do all the things with all of you on the live servers!

If anyone has any questions on what's new, or how something works, I do have some experience and will help out best I can. As for talent specs, I can only offer advice to my fellow mages! (sorry guys)

Come over to the public test realm!!

Here's how to do it:

1st goto the WoW website and download the PTR client here's the link:

2nd Copy your toon over! Here's the link:

Double click on the Blizzard Updater Icon and its a self install

After that your good to go!

I know some of you think I cant be bothered to wait to have my toon copied...but it doesnt take as long as you might think...

How about improved Battle Grounds, new areas to explore, like Stormwind Harbor! New talents for the WoTLK expansion! New profession: Inscription!

How about getting a haircut or a shave in the barber shop?

Tons of new stuff including Acheivements!! It's alot of fun and will give you a jump start on winning that 5000g prize in our contest!

Ok, so here are a few drawbacks....No Northrend *cry*, no Death Knights and the amount of precious time it will take to copy your toon and download the client.

But I say that the pluses far outweigh the minuses!! Give it a try and lets have some fun!!

UPDATE!! The WoW website now says it will take an average of 3 hours to copy your character to the Public Test Realm. So now it won't take any time at all......so let's all go!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

Ok, so I was surfing the WoW Forums and found an interesting little tid bit of info! I came across a posting for Olympic Style events and one of them jumped up and grabbed me!

So here's the contest:

We will hold a marathon race. Not just any marathon, but the mother of all marathons!! It will begin in Booty Bay, stranglethorn Vale....

.....and end at Light's Hope Chapel, Eastern Plaguelands.

Now, I know what you must be thinking, NBK is NUTS!! Well, that may be so but you'll be eager to enter when you know the prize will be:

1000 GOLD!!!!!

So, your thinking ooooohhhh 1000 gold, awsome! I'm in! Good, but there is a catch!!

THE RULES

1. No forms of transport what so ever!! No boats, no griffins, no mounts, no piggybacks!!

2. Mages and Rogues will NOT be allowed to use Blink or Speed Boost.

3. Druids will NOT be allowed to use animal form(of any kind).

4. Hunters will NOT be allowed to use cheetah/pack abilities

5. Pallys will NOT be allowed to use mount auora or whatever it is

6. You must RUN the ENTIRE race. Or walk, but not advised.

7. All participants will be in raid group so your marker will show up on map

8. Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified.

This contest event is meant to be a fun filled contest. The route you choose to take will be entirely upto you, so, if you know of any short cuts, USE THEM!!!

If you want to enter, let me know. Sign ups will open up right away. Last minute entries will be accepted.

So now when is this race gonna be? I'm glad you asked!

Race day will be Saturday, September 13th, 2008 at 4:00pm ST

So get your running shoes on....bring lots of water and good luck!
