Arcanapocolypse Guild Information

Welcome! Thank you for choosing Arcanapocolypse as your guild! We hope you will enjoy yourself in the game and have fun being a member of our guild. There are a few guildlines listed below that we ask all members to follow to keep everyone's experience enjoyable. If you ever have any questions, concerns or just want to chat, our leaders always have an ear available.
Here you will find information about:
Ranks, Guild Bank, Raiding & Our Code of Conduct

All members start at the rank of NEW. To be promoted to Serf and attain guild privileges, all members must join the website, and send the Queen or King a message when done so.
Further ranks are gained by being a helpful and contributing member of the guild - advisors meet once a month to consider rank privileges, although promotions may be made at any time based upon merit.
All members who have alt characters also in the guild are required to list their main character on the Public Notes section of the guild interface - if you are unsure how to do so, please ask an Advisor.

The guild bank is available for all guild members to use.
The amount available to withdraw in items and in gold for repairs is based upon rank. We ask that if you are using the guild bank for repairs and the like, to please donate 100g a month to the coffers to help cover the costs.
Tabs are based on professions to make it easy to find the items one might be looking for. We try to keep both crafted and raw materials in each tab.
Our general rule of thumb in regards to the guild bank is to not have an excess amount of one type of item in the bank, unless it's a highly used item.
Patterns may be placed in any of the tabs - however, please keep the patterns grouped under the appropriate tab, and try not to duplicate them.
It is prefered that guild bank be used for raw materials, so that Mats are readily available to our crafters, who can create the items required for our members use.
If you have items that do not fit in any of the tabs, yet still wish to contribute to the bank, feel free to auction the items and place the proceeds in the guild bank.
Tab 1: Gear & Reputation Items |
This tab is for gear and items that you may want to share with other guild members.
However, we ask that you only place rare (blue) or epic (purple) items in this tab. If you have green items you don't need, our guild enchanters would be happy to disenchant it for you, and give you the raw materials, or place them in the bank as you request.
If you have spare or unwanted reputation items, yet feel your guildmates could make use of them, feel free to deposit them in this tab.
|
Tab 2: Herbalism & Alchemy |
This tab is for herbs, vials, potions and elixirs. The guild Alchemists will try to keep commonly used potions in stock.
|
Tab 3: Jewelcrafting & Mining |
This tab is for raw ores, uncut and cut gems. We will try to keep commonly needed cut gems in stock, however it is preferable to have uncut gems given the variety of cuts available and needed for maximizing performance. Simply ask a guild Jewelcrafter if they have the pattern you need.
|
Tab 4: Tailoring & Enchanting |
Feel free to place your unneeded cloth and enchanting materials in this tab. However, please, no excessive amounts of the same type of cloth.
|
Tab 5: Blacksmithing & Leatherworking |
Please place smelted bars, leather & scraps in this tab. Also, here is where you will find armour kits, belt buckles and the like.
|
Tab 6: Inscription & Engineering |
Lastly, this tab is for engineering parts, vellum, ink and glyphs. Our guild Inscriptionists will try to keep some of the most commonly requested glyphs in stock.

We try to run regular raids and dungeons together, however this does not mean that you are restricted to just running instances with Arcanapocolypse!
In general, we try to schedule a raid and / or "dungeon zerg" once a week. These can be found on the guild calendar, which can be accessed via the Events button above, and are advertised via the ingame calendar. Priority for spots at events is always given to members signed up on the website; If you have signed up, then you are committed to the event - please do not sign up unless you can commit the time. Players will be added into a raid in the order that they signed up on the website. The website will not allow more players to sign up than is required.
If a raid does not have enough players signed up, players who are online at the time of the raid will be offered spots. If there are more players online who wish to join than there are spots, players will /role for spots. If there are groups forming for regular or heroic 5-man's, and more players than spots, willing players will /role for spots in groups. Only in the circumstance of having a single player online who can fill a required spot in the party shall there be an exception (example : healer, tank). There should be no favoritism shown in this process.
While we do not have a problem running under geared guildmates through dungeons, we do expect players to obtain appropriate gear via quests, on their own. Undergeared players will not be allowed to compete for raid / dungeon spots with geared players.
Most of this is common sense. We also will not allow players wearing PVP gear to compete for raid and dungeon spots with people who are PVE geared. If you are wearing PVP gear, then you should not be raiding, or doing heroics!
Players who sign up for raids and repeatedly do not show up, will run the chance of not being included in future raids. It is very important that you show up for what you sign up for!
Any member of Arcanapocolpyse is welcome to add events to the calendar - however, doing so means you are committed to running the event. Note that events need not be just current raids or dungeon crawls - they can be parties, trivia contests, old world dungeon events - whatever you so desire! If you have a great idea, but do not wish to be responsible for running the event, feel free to suggest it to one of our leaders.
Loot Rules
Arcanapocolypse does not use a formal loot system. We rely on our members own good sense to avoid strife, however we do have a general pattern that we follow:
Main-Spec Over Off-Spec: Items which are an upgrade for a member's main spec will be given priority over upgrades to a member's offspec.
Need before Greed: If an item is an upgrade to a member, he or she may roll "Need", trumping other member's "Greed" or "Disenchant" rolls.
Green or Vanity Items: If a vanity item drops - such as a mount - then all members will roll "Greed" on the item (provided they actually want it). This also applies to pets, recipies, crafting materials and the like.
These rules only apply for guild groups, of course.

We at Arcana strive to be a friendly, helpful guild, but sometimes personality conflicts happen.
We have set up some guildlines to help us deal with tricky situations, and ask that all members apply the following guidelines in their World of Warcraft experience:
|
Respect other guild members, even if you don't personally like them. Do not cause drama in either guild chat, or general chat. Our members should not do anything that makes WOW less enjoyable for any other players. This applies to voice chat in Ventrilo as well as in game chat. Always be aware that The World of Warcraft is a game, and other players are here to have fun, just like you are.
If you have a problem with a guild member and you can’t deal with it cordially yourself, talk to the guild leader. The guild leader will speak to other members on your behalf. Please remember, we will likely kick anyone who is seen to be causing repeated unwarranted drama.
Please restrict the use of colorful language in guild chat. Swearing does not impress anyone, and is not considered mature behaviour. Please to not swear over voice-chat, many of our members have children - or may be children themselves. We recognize that sometimes this happens by accident, but we will call out those members who are seen as having trouble controling their language.
Members will generally get a warning before being disciplined. Members will also be given opportunities to explain behaviour issues. We are not your parents, and we will not coddle you, or babysit you. We will, however, attempt to be as fair as we can when dealing with any problems that arise. When discipline is needed, guild leaders will consider officer decisions and discussions, or lack thereof, at all times.
